Iola Spafford

Iola was born in Cambridge and now lives in Wilmslow, she studied at The Slade and is a member of The Manchester Acadamy of Fine Art and The Royal Cambrian Academy. She has held nine one man exhibitions at the Tib Lane Gallery in Manchester and also a one man exhibition at Bebb & Sekka, Alderley Edge. Other joint exhibitions which showed her pieces include; UMIST, Halesworth Gallery, (Glyn y Weddw), Teqtryn Art Gallery (Menai Bridge), The Royal Cambrian Academy (Conwy) and The Royal Academy.

Painting mainly in Wales, Suffolk, Manchester, Spain, Venice, Gozo and of course locally, it is clear to see that her inspiration comes from a variety of locations all over the world!

The mediums that Iola uses vary also and her specialism’s are with oils, pen and ink, watercolours and etching. She enjoys travel and bringing locations to life with the convenience of pen and watercolour.
