Philip Ashley is a Manchester artist from Audenshaw. He studied Art and Design at Tameside College and received a higher national diploma in Art and Design, specialising in lens based media, at Bolton Institute.

Inspired by his own emotional love of the natural world, Philip's intention is to provoke an emotional response in others by making his lively and colourful art, metaphorically leap off the canvas to engage the viewer, whilst simultaneously introducing to the viewer, the enormous range of strange and amazing images of wildlife found above and beneath the vast oceans of the world.
