Sue grew up in Bradford, where she attended Wakefield College of Art. The main focus of her work, is the close observation of everyday life around her, such as beach scenes, landscapes or children playing. Her artwork is packed with movement, excitement and a quirky sense of humour as she portrays the world around her.
Sue has won many awards, including the South Yorkshire Artist of the Year in 1999, Manchester Academy Small Picture Award in 2000 and the Royal Watercolour Society Saunders Waterford Award.
